Studio Policies

Class Cancellation

Classes and private session must be canceled at least 24 hours ahead of time. After the 24 hour cut off it is considered a late cancel and a class or session will be pulled from your package. If you are on an unlimited membership a $35 late cancel fee will be charged to your card on file.

Canceling Memberships

Modern Dynamic Pilates requires 30 days notification for canceling a membership. You must notify us a minimum of 30 days before your membership dues are processed. This applies to both monthly and weekly memberships.

When you cancel your membership, you are removing any rights to guaranteed pricing. If you decide to reinstate your membership at a later date, you will be subject to the current prices at that time.

Putting Memberships on Hold

Memberships can be put on hold for any reason for 1 month. We require 30 days notification to pause your membership for one month.

Freezing time on your membership does not cancel your membership. Once you resume any usage of Modern Dynamic Pilates LLC, the freeze will terminate. Time of any freeze will be credited to the end of your membership’s original term.

Memberships can be put on hold for medical reasons with a doctor’s note and for emergencies at our discretion. Medical and emergency holds can not be applied towards memberships that have already processed. We can begin your hold on the next billing cycle.

Memberships can not be put on hold indefinitely. You must inform us in writing of your return date.

Studio Phone Usage Policy

We ask that you be considerate and discreet while using your cell phone in the space. If you must take a call, we ask that you try to have your phone conversation in a location that does not disturb other clients concentrating on their sessions. If you need to text, please regulate that to break moments and refrain from texting while the instructor is giving instructions or the class is in the middle of an exercise so as not to disrupt their concentration. 

If you would like to take photos or video while you are in the studio space, you must ensure that no other clients are captured in the background of your photos or video. You must ask permission of anyone occupying the studio before taking photos or videos to ensure that they are aware of cameras being used in their vicinity.

Late Window

Given the unpredictable nature of public transportation in NYC, we have a late arrival window of 10 minutes. We will extend that to 15 minutes if we receive an email or phone call notify us ahead of time that you may be late.

After that you are considered a no show to class. A class will be deducted from your package or you will be charged a late cancel fee of $35 if you are on a membership.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Modern Dynamic Pilates LLC is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all clients and staff. Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to verbal abuse, physical intimidation, inappropriate comments, or any behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment, will not be tolerated.

Termination Rights

Modern Dynamic Pilates reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately if, in Modern Dynamic Pilates’s sole discretion, the client engages in any behavior that violates this anti-harassment policy. In such cases, no refunds will be provided, and any outstanding fees owed by the client will remain due.
